VNHRN to Celebrate International Human Rights Day, Present Vietnam Human Rights Award, and Hold 8th Convention
In commemoration of the fifty ninth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Vietnam Human Rights Network (VNHRN) will present the 2007 Vietnam Human Rights Award to Professor Hoàng Minh Chính, Attorney Nguyễn Văn Đài, and Attorney Lê Thị Công Nhân. Those award recipients are honored for their outstanding contributions in defending freedom and basic rights of Vietnamese people.

This event also marks the VNHRN’s ten years of existence since its formation in 1997, and its bi-annual convention, which will be organized the following days of Dec. 8 and 9, 2007 at the conference room of Ramada Plaza Hotel, 10022 Garden Grove Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92844. The Convention will select the new leadership and formulate the human rights strategy for the next two years.
